Category 1 PPE Face Shield Volume Production
Senior Aerospace BWT has turned the seed of an idea into a Category 1 PPE Face Shield volume production run in the space of just a few short weeks.
From using its state-of-the-art engineering and dedicated Additive Manufacturing Cell, BWT developed a production design in conjunction with NHS University Hospitals which was used to manufacture complete medical face shields for NHS Hospitals, GP surgeries, care homes and local police forces.
Recognising the importance in supporting the country and its workers on a volume basis, through the introduction of injection moulding tooling BWT has transformed this original 3D printed visor concept into a mass produced product which is now CE marked and Category 1 PPE Face Shield approved, tested to EU standard EN166.
Senior BWT now has the capacity to produce 100, 000.00 face shields per week with scope to increase if required to help protect frontline healthcare workers and businesses during the ongoing coronavirus outbreak with deliveries continuing to be made in support of the NHS and our frontline workers.

The Senior BWT Face Shield is designed to be worn by HealthCare Professionals to protect liquid splashes and bodily fluids when treating infectious patients. The full face shield conform to EU2016/425 PPE Class 1 and are CE marked. They have also been tested to EN166:2001 COVID-19 Standards.
The ultra-lightweight full face shield prevents Covid-19 from coming into contact with the wearer’s eyes, nose and mouth when worn with other mandatory PPE.
These are unprecedented times and it called for an unprecedented response to help combat the supply and demand for PPE equipment for medical staff, healthcare and key workers.
Talks are underway to continue to supply frontline healthcare workers treating patients with Covid-19 along with other businesses who need such protective measures for their employees as they return to work.
